President John Mahama has cancelled all DSTV and satellite television subscriptions at Jubilee House as part of a broader cost-cutting initiative.

According to Communications Minister Felix Ofosu Kwakye, no office within the presidential complex is allowed to maintain pay TV services.

“You’d say it’s trivial, but when computed, the cost was significant,” he said on JoyNews.

The move is set to extend to all government ministries and agencies, reinforcing Mahama’s push for modest, accountable governance and reduced public spending.

This decision highlights the administration’s commitment to fiscal discipline starting right from the top.
